Meet our Management Team

Millie Braun

Executive Director
Millie has a passion for improving the lives of others, especially for children and families. She has been with Family Dynamics for more than 20 years working with families, developing programs, and now serving as Executive Director. Millie holds a Master's degree in Family Studies, and is a Chartered Manager with the Canadian Institute of Management. She believes in recognizing and developing talent in others.

Akiva Borenstein, CPA, CGA

Director of Finance
Akiva has over 35 years of experience in financial management at the Federal Government and in Not-for-Profit organizations. He brings vast knowledge and experience in the area of financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning, and providing advice and guidance to Senior Executives and Board of Directors. Through his diverse network, Akiva helped developed capital structure strategies, strategic planning and developing joint venture agreements in various start-up ventures, with insights into raising capital for private and public start-up companies. In addition, his experience includes being a member of the Board of Directors as well as audit committees, for not-for-profit organizations, private and publicly listed companies.

Carol Billett

Program Manager
Carol joined Family Dynamic in 1982 and has lived in many communities throughout Manitoba (North, Central, West and East regions and Winnipeg). Since the 1970’s, she has been a community activist/volunteer with grassroots organizations dedicated to protecting and enhancing the environment, women’s well being, health, and equality. This includes Income Security and Social Services projects and programs.

Diana Rozos

Program Manager
In 1976 Diana started her work with children and families. As a summer student in a child care centre, she discovered her passion to make a positive difference in the lives of children and families. Through her career Diana has worked as an Early Childhood Educator, Child Care Centre Executive Director, Addictions Treatment Residential Care Worker, Instructor, Mentor and Program Manager. She is committed to supporting children and families while they navigate the complexities of life as we have come to know it. Diana is also known for her great chocolate chip cookies.

Heather Rochon

Program Manager
Heather has worked at Family Dynamics in various capacities since 2000. She has extensive experience in clinical supervision, mental health, case management support, and working with multidisciplinary teams in the area of newcomer and refugee services. Heather holds a Masters of Arts in Counselling as well as several certificates in the areas of leadership and working with newcomers from War Affected Areas.

Janie Colvinson

Program Manager
Janie has been a dedicated member of the In-Home Support Program since 2009, serving as both a Family Support Coordinator and Intake Coordinator. Janie has a Bachelor degree of Social Work and is a registered member with the Manitoba College of Social Workers. She believes families can grow stronger during challenging times when they have support, connection, and compassion from the community around them.

Kim Barber, MA, CCC-S, RSW

Program Manager
Kim has been part of the Family Dynamics Team since 2002.  Over the years Kim has had many roles providing counselling, group facilitation, program coordination, providing clinical supervision and committee work. Kim believes in making quality counselling services accessible to everyone to promote healthy families and communities.

Robbyn Rempel, CPHR, ABCP

Human Resources Manager
Robbyn has over a decade of experience leading many aspects of the Human Resource portfolio within the non-profit sector ranging from talent management and labour relations to strategic thinking/planning and change management. Among Robbyn’s management qualities is her deep commitment to working in a collaborative, transparent and inclusive manner, which allows her to build lasting relationships with current and future colleagues, stakeholders and leadership. As Family Dynamics continues to develop its human resource services and administrative infrastructure to support the on-going success of the organization, Robbyn will continue to strengthen the link between people and strategy, as well as manage, motivate and retain talent. Committed to the mission of Family Dynamics, she brings a dedication to social impact and problem-solving to this position.
